I didn't grow up eating shrimp and grits. I did grow up eating cheese grits with my fried fish though. It's a perfect combination so it's no surprise that shrimp will pair well with grits also! The seasonings gives this dish so much flavor so don't skimp on them.
I will admit that I was not fond of the scallions in this dish. I am usually a huge fan of onion but for some reason it just did not go well with this dish in my opinion. So I will say it's optional!
Toppings:
1 lb of bacon
3 Cut Scallions (optional)

1/4 tap Smoked Paprika
Pinch of Creole Seasoning

1 1/2 Tsp Black pepper and Salt
1 Tsp Creole Seasoning
1 Cup grits

1/2 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
2 tbsp butter
